The first election casualty has been recorded in on going Edo governorship election as wife of the All Peoples Congress(APC) in the state have allegedly been attacked by thugs believed to have been sponsored by the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) .
In a tweet by the Party, thugs attacked the chieftain’s wife and made away with electoral materials at Tipper Garage polling unit of Egor Local Government Area.
APC tweeted: “@OfficialPDPNig thugs hijack electoral materials at Tipper Garage PU in Egor. The wife of our party chair who resisted was beaten black & blue. She has been rushed to the nearest medical facility.”
