Three-storey building collapses three days to resumption

Tragedy was averted Saturday in Ejigbo area of Lagis as a three -storey building housing the Excel College in the Ejigbo area of Lagos has collapsed few days to resumption of academic activities since d lockdown occasioned by Coronavirus.

The incident reportedly happened at No 15, Ansarudeen Street, Ile-Epo bus-stop at about 8.15 am.

The building, according to sources, had shown signs of distress and the school was planning to renovate/refortify the structure before the collapse.

It was gathered that the building possess two conjoined wings with one of the wings collapsing, having serious effect on the adjourning wing as visible cracks can be seen on the walls, pillars, and decking.

The incident has been confirmed by the Director-General, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency LASEMA, Dr. Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu.
