Scores narrowly escape death as train, bus collide in Oshodi
Several persons narrowly escape death on Monday morning when a passenger bus and a train collared coppiced at the busy Oshodi area of Lagos.

It will be recalled that Monday is the first time the Lagos Ogun train service suspended since March this year to prevent the spread of Coronavirus,will commence operation again.
Our reporter learnt that the commuter bus with registration number GGE 972 GE veered into the train tracks while crossing the rail at PWD inward Oshodi and collided with the scheduled commuter train.
The train dragged the bus along for a stretch before it managed to come to a complete halt.
It took emergency responders including security agencies hours to extricate the passengers.
The injured were given medical care and discharged while the wreckage of the bus had been evacuated to allow for free flow of commuter traffic.
Chief executive of Lagos Emergency Management Agency,Dr Oke Osanyintolu confirmed the incident .
He said the agency received distress calls at 8.12 adding that upon arrival at the scene, it was discovered that a passenger motor GGE 972 GE with six passengers had veered onto the train tracks while crossing the rail at PWD inward Oshodi and subsequently collided with a scheduled commuter train.
The bus was then dragged along for a stretch of the journey before the train managed to come to a complete halt.
He said the agency was able to successfully extricate the passengers and note that there was no loss of life. Casualties have been provided with on site medical care and discharged
He reminded members of the public, especially drivers of commuter buses are to obey traffic regulations to prevent injuries and transport delays.
As at the time of filling this report, the wreckage of the bus has been safely removed to allow for free flow of commuter traffic.
