…To report at police force hqtr for criminal investigation
The former deputy Governor, Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Dr. Obadiah Mailafia, who has been having running battle with the Directorate of State Services(DSS) over the interview he granted Info Nigeria on state of nations security have had his case transfered to the Police.
As a result,he is now to appear at the Force Headquarters of the Nigerian Police, Abuja on Monday for criminal investigation.
This was confirmed to African Drum by Dr. Mailafia few minutes ago.
In a telephone conversation with our Chief Editor, Joseph A. Adudu, Mailafia said, “Yes, the Police were in my house this afternoon.
At first, they looked intimidating but they told me they brought a letter. I am being summoned to be at the Force Headquarters on Monday for criminal investigation”.
For the past few weeks, the searchlight of the security operatives has been on the renowned economics following his allegation in the interview that a sitting governor from the North is a Commander of Boko Haram,the terrorist organisation which base been behind killings in the North.
Thereafter, Dr. Mailafia was invited twice (in less than one week) to the office of the Directorate of the State Security Service (DSS) but was released unconditionally on each occasion.
