A Lagos based lawyer,Barrister Obafemi Ajayi has petitioned,Governor Babajide Sanwoolu over alleged announcement and confirmation of Ahmed Laka -Orelope as the Oba elect of Egbeda in Alimosho local government area of the state.
Oba elect,Laka-Orelope is a brother of former deputy governor of Lagos state, Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire.
In the petition on behalf of his client, Prince Kehinde Monsuru Ogunsola, the lawyer wondered why the Executive Chairman, Alimosho Local Government Council, Alhaji Jelili could announce and confirm Prince Ahmed as Elegbeda-Elect despite a pending law suit No. ID/329GCM/2019 over the said stool before Justice Adebiyi of Ikeja High Court 14 which has not been determined.
Barrister Ajayi appealed to the Governor to correct the disrespect of the rule of law being perpetrated by those concerned.

The State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, the State Commissioner for Local Government and Community Affairs and the Executive Chairman of Alimosho Local Government were copied as respondents in the mattter.
