…Says prediction for Nigeria has failed

The Nigerian Center for Disease Control, NCDC, has stated that the Covid-19 prediction for Nigeria has failed.

It noted that at the outbreak 9f the pandemic, various models predicted a doomsday scenario for Nigeria and other African countries.

It added that however, the country and other African countries at large have recorded fewer cases than expected.

“At the beginning of the pandemic, various models predicted a doomsday scenario for Nigeria and other African countries, yet fewer cases than expected have been recorded”, NCDC stated on its official Twitter handle on Monday.

According to statistics as at Monday, August 17, 2020, Nigeria has a total number of 49,068 confirmed cases of Covid-19 with 975 deaths.
