The Chairman, Colleges of Education Academic Staff Union ( COEASU)    Dr. Daniel Oludipe has called on the members of the public to disregard the malicious and mischievous propaganda allegedly published by some online media claiming that an unrecognized union called Concerned Academic Staff( CAS) led by one Mr. Ade Balogun, passing vote of no confidence on the provost of the College was misleading and clear misrepresentation of the good intention of the State Government’s Governing Council put in place by his Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun of which the Provost of the college was also a member.
Dr. Oludipe said,  Mr. Ade Balogun was neither a staff of the college nor a member of COEASU, and as such, not in position to be the mouth piece of the great and responsible Union, adding that, since the inception of Dr. Adeola Kiadese as the Provost of the college in 2016, the Union has not at any time be at dagger drawn with the Provost as claimed by the online publications, saying that their relationship has been cordial as the management under the leadership of the Provost  has recorded great achievement contrary to the claims that the Provost harasses staff and mismanage College resources.
He said the merger resources of the college has been judiciously utilized under his watch, adding that the Provost was able to secure through National Commission for colleges of Education (NCCE) accreditation for all the 25 academic programmes of the College, degree affiliation with Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye in line with NUC approval as well as secured academic collaboration with University of Education, Wineba, Ghana among others.
Speaking on integrity, Dr. Oludipe said the Provost operated an open door policy with outmost honesty, transparent and accountability, adding that the N70 Million naira sallah gifts claimed by the publications to political office holders was just to maligned the Provost image and the college that has been progressing with the intervention and appointment of the present Governing Council by the present administration led by Prince Dapo Abiodun.
” Contrary to the claim of the publishers that the Provost spent N70Million on Sallah gifts, we wish to state unequivocally that the college has no such funds at its disposal as at the moment and the Provost in his usual prudency, magnanimity and commitment to staff welfarism will have expended such funds on payment of salary and arrears if available, even without recourse to the Union”. He said.
He said with the above achievement under the leadership of the Provost, the COEASU is passing a vote of confidence on Dr. Adeola Kiadese, stressing that, if Mr. Ade Balogun was interested in the position of the Provost, he should so apply to the appropriate channel rather than castigating the appointment of the Prince Dapo Abiodun which was carried out with due diligent.
” The Union therefore pass a vote of confidence on the provost and the Governing Council giving the good intention and plans outlined to reposition, re-engineer and return the college towards a greater path of normalcy, growth and development. The image of the state governor under the leadership of Prince Dapo Abiodun, the Governing council ably led by Pince Adeyemi Adefulu and the Provost, Dr. Adeola Kiadese as well as critical stakeholders will leave no stone unturned to move the college to an enviable height amongst other Colleges of Education in the Country” .Oludipe said
He said the Union wish to strongly dissociate self from the libelous and malicious publications of the so called online media made by anti  progressive elements who do not have the interest of the college at heart, adding that they are faceless, destructive mischief maker with no recognition.
