Nigeria couple dies in South Africa from coal heater

A Nigerian couple, Pastor and Mrs. Favor Taiwo has died in South Africa from terrible domestic error that has also left their only two daughters in critical condition.

Patmos Media Line learnt the couple who are Pastors of a Christ Apostolic Church in Capetown mysteriously died in their residence from a coal heater set up to beat the biting winter cold there.

According to reports reaching us, the couple was ignorant of the hazardous effect of the smoke which claimed their lives and left the children in jeopardy.

The SA Western Cape Province of the Christ Apostolic Church confirmed the couple was one of the first members of CAC Capetown.

The Provincial office of the church expressed their heartfelt sympathy with the family and the church at large but appealed to members to reach out to their children, Testimony and Divine who are on critical medical condition and needs God’s intervention to survive.

Reports received from the hospital as at 1500 hours Nigerian time Thursday states that “Divine is better now and just under observation but Testimony will need serious prayers”.

It was learnt that despite the hectic nature of the Covid-19 pandemic in South Africa, Christians have formed a serious prayer chain for the children since Wednesday when the incident happened.

All efforts to reach the the Nigerian Embassy in South Africa proved abortive.
