The transition committee chairman of Ifo local government, Honourable Fola Salami has suspended some officials of the local government without pay over alleged assault on a lady while enforcing the lockdown at Ojodu Abiodun area of the council.
In a statement he signed weekend,he said the viral video of the alleged assault came as a rude shock to him as it does not portray the humane nature popularly preached by the Ifo local council.
Hon Salami assured the public that all hands are on deck to unravel the circumstances while those found guilty will be dealt with decisively.
Meanwhile, one of the officials involved has been arrested as at the time of writing this report.
