…Health Commissioner reminds citizens to observe WHO standard

The Ekiti state government has disclosed that the state has recorded another four new cases of Covid 19.

The commissioner for Health and Human Services Dr. Mojisola Yaya- Kolade made the disclosure at a press briefing by Members of Covid 19 Taskforce held at Conference Hall governor office, Ado-Ekiti .

“The cases include two health workers, a patient at a Federal teaching hospital and a man who has just arrived the state from Lagos State” .she stated.

Dr. Yaya – Kolade appealed to Ekiti residents to observe WHO’s protocols which include social distancing, use of face masks, use of sanitizers and regular hand washing

In his contribution, the Chairman of the Covid-19 Taskforce Prof Bolaji Aluko reminded the residents of the state that state is still under lockdown noting the security situation has been stable and that state was still collaborating with the border towns for adequate monitoring.

Prof. Aluko said that the state would soon rollout another round of palliatives to the less privileged of the society. He appreciated hundreds of donors that have given to assist the government both in cash and kind.

While contributing ,the commissioner for Environment Hon. Gbenga Agbeyo said that the magnanimity of the state government to relax the lockdown shouldn’t be taken for granted warning that violators of the lockdown order would be arrested and sanctioned accordingly.
