The salary of all categories of staff of the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) may be reduced from the end of May this year due to the prevailing economic situation in the country as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic.
An indication to this effect was contained in an internal circular sent to all Directors,General Managers,Regional General Managers and Area Managers by the General Manager,Administration.MD Musa Wednesday May 19,2020.
In the circular,he said the action is due to the dwindling revenue generation amidst COVID-19 pandemic.
He however gave the assurance that as soon as thee revenue situation improves,the balance will be paid.
He added that the measure is to ensure the survival of the organisation.
It will be recalled that the federal government has banned all local and international flights in and out of the country since the past seven weeks due to the coronavirus pandemic and this has obviously affected all businesses in the aviation sector.
