At last, FirstBank refunds Muritala Sule’s N500

After days of persistent demand, the oldest and perharps one of the biggest banks in Nigeria, has finally refunded the N500 it wrongly deducted from the account of Mr. Muritala Sule without  crediting him the airtime the money was made for.

Below is Sule’s acknowledgment of the refund on his timeline where had also exposed the bank over tge deduction.

“HURRAHHHHHHH!

Their period of grace for action elapse 5.30PM yesterday.

I was patient enough to wait for NINE DAYS.

When they hadn’t refunded my N500, I fired a PETITION to the CENTRAL BANK as I promised here at the beginning  of this brouhaha. That was at about a few minutes after 5.00PM.

With that petition, I attached our entire conversation on the matter, including my FACEBOOK POSTS and FIRST BANK’s

“Dear MURITALA SULE,

Kindly provide your account number,amount,date of transaction to enable us assist as appropriate.

We regret any inconvenience this may have caused you while reiterating our commitment to serve you better.

    Yes. We need to always make them accountable. What they count on is to frustrate us from making legitimate demands. You must create the time to “tackle” corruption.
