The Southwest Conference of Speakers on Thursday threw their weight and legislative support on the operation of the regions security outfit otherwise known as Amotekun.
The Chairman of conference of speakers and Speaker of Lagos Assembly , Hon. Mudashiru Obasa announced this during their meeting held at Ibadan in Oyo State.
According to them, We used the occasion to pledge our unwavering support to Operation Amotekun which is not only timely but appropriate and commendable.
Also deliberated upon is the need for them to give legislative backing to Governors in order to strengthen the efforts of the executives in putting adequate security measures in place in their respective zones as well as financial autonomy.
