….Orin-Ekiti hunters arrest 37 cows at farm
…Urge owners to pay compensation or forget the cows
Less than a week after Yoruba Koya Movement, a Pan-Yoruba Socio-cultural and self-determination group paid an advocacy visit to Orin-Ekiti to donate hunting gears to hunters and vigilantes in the community, no fewer than 37 COWS have been arrested by the hunters in the town for destroying farm lands worth over #50million Naira.
Confirming the New development to The Elite Times on Saturday morning, a Youth Leader in the community, Mr. Martins Omotosho said the arrested Cows are currently being kept inside the palace of Olorin for safety purpose.
The Cows were accused of grazing on farms worth over #50million, an action that prompted the hunters in the community to mobilize to the farm situated at Farm Settlement along Ido-Ifaki road to effect their arrest.
Upon sighting the hunters, Owners of the cows fled into the bush. However, the cows, according to Omotosho, would be released only when their owners show up to pay compensation to farmers whose farms were destroyed.
