The Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Ogun State Council, Comrade Soji Amosu has lauded the Ogun State Goveenor Prince Dapo Abiodun for his achievements in education and security sector.

Amosu made this known at the 2019 Gala/Award night of the Federated Chapel, Nigeria Union of Journalists, Ogun State Chapter held in Abeokuta
He said the renovation and reconstruction of schools across the three senatorial district of the State was a land mark achievements, adding that the scrapping of PTA levy from the State secondary and Primary School level was well applauded as well as the approval of 2016,2017 promotion exercise for teaching and none teaching in the education sector.
Amosu, said ever since the inception of the present administration, the State has experienced relative peace with respect to the security strategy adopted by the Abiodun led government, saying that the state government has also beefed up the security of the state by providing 100 security vehicles and 200 motorcycles to the security agencies in the state.
While appreciating the Governor for the sponsorship of over 30 Journalists to Ghana for career performance and enhancement, Amosu said Journalists in Ogun State would continue to support the state Governor on policies that would enhanced the general development of the State.
Speaking,the Olu Of Owode Egba, Oba Kolawole Sowemimo charged Journalists to be balance and accurate in their reportage, saying that journalists should be seen as the tools at which the societal ills can be corrected.
Appreciating the Governor for the face lifting of public schools across the state,Oba Sowwmimo said. The yellow colour used in the roofing of the schools signifies a symbol of Unity and it was also unique.
Earlier, the Chairman Federated Chapel, Nigeria Union Of Journalists, Ogun State Chapter. Comrade Adeniyi Adeloye said the Award night was put together to appreciate some individuals who have contributed in no small measures to the development of the Chapel in form of patronage, adding that their patronage has also rubbed on the development of the State as well as the Nation through their various publications.
He said the award was meant to further encouraged them to do more in the spirit of keeping the profession more viable in the discharge of their calling, saying that the well being of the state and the country was a major factor in the Journalism profession.
” We have gathered here to celebrate some individuals and groups who have been patronising us in form of advertisement placement and special focus on their products and services in our various publications or by making concerted effort that are rubbing on the development of the state as well as the Nation” Adeloye said.
The awardees which are, the Olu Of Owode Egba, Oba Kolawole Sowemimo, Former, Ogun State Governor, Chief Olusegun Osoba,Sir, Adebutu Kensington, the Odole of Oodua, Controller.Micheal Agbara, controller of Nigeria Custom Service, Alhaji,(Prince) Nurudeen Shogeyinbo,Chairman (ANACOWA) among others.
