Top Nigerian Christian leaders, ministers and workers are to gather in an intense three day special retret to reposition the Church in Nigeria come January 2020.
First Nigerian female Bishop and President of the Christ Messengers Network, Bishop Margaret Bolanle Odeleke disclosed this in a statement from Lagos, Nigeria.
She said the retreat will hold at the Apostolic Faith Church Camp, Ketu-Lagos from Thursday 9th to Saturday 11th January 2020 but it was gathered that the hosts’ denomination does not allow women wearing trousers or not covering their head within the camp site.
The top Nigeria Clergy said the gathering is not a group or an Association but a program for Ministers and Church Workers to pray for the Church in Nigeria. There will be free accommodation and feeding of all participants.
She stated that she was directed by God to Gather the Ministers as she emphasized that, “a great and unstoppable end-time army is being raised by God to showcase His power on the earth and do exploits for Him”.
According to the Bishop, the gathering is to “help the Church to rise up to the divine expectations of Heaven in this divine season and play her role to bring about the anticipated Global Revival”.
She explained that the meeting will focus on prayers and the word of God as the period is not an age of performers who have no relationship with God but for they that know their God and are ready to be strong and do exploits for Him”.
Bishop Odeleke added that some top American medical delegation will also offer free medical services to participants.
In a time that the leading African nation has been rocked with political, ethnic and religious games, Nigerian Christians are expecting the church to rise up over many happenings in the country.
