All roads lead to the ancient town of Idogo, Ogun State, come 26th of December, 2019 as Juju Music living legend, Evangelist Ebenezer Obey Fabiyi, diminutive fuji act, Muri Thunder, the Lagos State PMAN governor Kabiesi Olomide Osoba, who recently conferred with the title of Amuludun of Wasinmi Ojokoro and iconic fuji music act, Fancy Aye Alamu storm the town for the formal launching of twenty five million naira vocational centre appeal fund and award ceremonies.
The event championed by Idogo development forum, under the headship of Kabiesi Olomide Osoba, according to him became necessary for the development of the town and as an avenue to give back to our ancestral home.
He also revealed that the parade of iconic stars is an indication of what to expect at the event. ‘we are not taking things for granted for the event, we want the memory of the day to linger on for a while. The community attached great importance to the event, it is movement that we are championing and we are not living any stone unturned. We are closing every activity in the community for the day, also many sons and daughters of the from far and near already indicate their readiness to attend the event ‘
For the award ceremony, Ebenezer Obey Fabiyi, the Chief commander of world music, who is a great influencier in the town, where he was born, raised and got to the pinnacle of his career. He has financed many projects in the town, including the town hall, police station, office of the civil defense corps, school and even the stretch of the road leading to the town was named after him. He is receiving award of excellence alongside, Aliko Dangote who is also going home with an award and Chief Durojaye David.
While the Onidogo of Idogo, Oba Saheed Adio Adewale Olubiyi is the chief host, other notable traditional rulers and personalities expected at the event include, the Paramount ruler of Yewa land and the Olu of Ilaro, Oba Kehinde Olugbenle, Chief Dende Egungboun, Oba Adelakun, onigbeji of igbeji, Hon. Kunle Mustapha among others.
