
Tunde Kelani,the popular film icon and founder of Mainframe,a film outfit has hinted of his plan to produce a film on the life and times of late popular apala musician Ayinla Omowura,to mark the 40years after the demise of the Apala maestro.
The world renown Tunde Kelani, CEO of Mainframe Films made the disclosure when he visited the Department of Mass Communication of Crescent University Abeokuta.

During the visit, he said he was attracted by the rapidly growing profile of the department and University.
According to TK, he came to hire the Head of Department, Dr Kola Adesina as consultant to a full length film he was working on, which will revolve around content, culture and communication narratives in indigenous music.
Dr Adesina,it will be recalled has published many journals and deliver seminar papers on music in Nigeria,Africa and wrote about many musicians and artistes prior to this period.
As the pioneer head of the department of mass communication of the university, the department has produced many first class graduates some of who are pursuing their masters and doctorate degrees in institutions all over the world.
Kelani said the film will be hinged on the life and times of Ayinla Omowura, a highly regarded musician who died about 40 years ago. Popular films produced by Mainframe include: Saworoide, Maami, Ti Oluwa Nile, Ayo Ni Mo Fe and Arugba.

His itinerary also included a courtesy call on the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ibraheem Gbajabiamila and the registrar, Barr. Z.A Ajibola.
