2Baba honoured at 6th AFRIMA

Last weekend, music icon 2Baba aka Innocent Ujah Idibia was honoured at the 6th All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) with the Legendary Award, a very prestigious award given in recognition to individuals who have impacted the world positively, using their craft in music, arts and culture industry. 2Baba was one of the 2 recipients of this year’s Legendary Award, alongside Congolese Makossa crooner Awilo Logomba.

2Baba becomes the youngest recipient ever of the AFRIMA Legendary Award. Previous recipients include Salif Keita of Mali, Oliver Mutikudzi of Zimbabwe, Yvonne Chaka Chaka of South Africa, to mention a few.

The award, his fourth major honour in a landmark year comes weeks after he was honoured for his Pioneering Afrobeats Role at AFRIMMA 2019 held in lagos
