Between hate speech and criticism

It is very surprising to see Nigerians who live in UK, France, Germany, Canada, US etc where they have strong laws and regulations against Hate Speech asking questions with snide remarks about proposed Hate Speech Bill by a Nigerian Senator.

I have seen hypocritical questions of what is hate speech or what constitutes hate speech. Criticism of your government is not hate speech. A citizen or citizens have the right to criticise government and government policies whichever way they like.

Except for those hiding behind one finger, we all know what a hate speech is. What IPOB and its supporters do is blatant hate speech and govt must have a strong law to deal with that.

If I said all Igbos or all Hausas are mosquitoes that should be killed anywhere they are found and not worthy to live, that is hate speech. It is hate speech if i said all homosexuals should be stoned to death anywhere they are found.

Anyone that shares such and videos in that regard is promoting hate speech and should be sanctioned by law.
