All the two goals came from left wingers in the first half, left full back P. Dos Reis in shirt no 6 scored 6′ and J. Peglow outside left in shirt no 10 nailed it 40′ before half time.
Italy did all the playing with 56 – 44 ball possession, offside 4-0, corners 9-3 and all 2 yellow cards to Italy but Brazil outclassed the Italians 6-2 on shots on target and a rock solid defense, ending the match with a clean sheet. 2-0.
Brazil will proceed to meet former champions and goals manufacturers, France who are currently highest goal scoring team with 17 goals in the second semifinals at midnight of Thursday. France tutored Spain 6-1 earlier.
Mexico will at 2030 hours of Thursday trade tackles with Netherlands for a ticket to the final game on Sunday.
