Netherlands had pushed out five times champions, Golden Eaglets of Nigeria 3-1 in the round of 16 games to meet Paraguay.
The second quarterfinals between Korea and Mexico is at midnight of Sunday.
On Monday at 2030 hours, Spain will tackle France while hosts Brazil will lock horns with Italy in the other quarterfinal matches.
