David-West dies at 83

Former Minister of Petroleum Resources under General Muhammadu Buhari, Prof Tamunosoeme Sokari David-West is dead. He was aged 83 years.
His death was announced in a tribute by President Buhari on Monday where he described the late Professor as “Indomitable Tam David-West”.
The late Tam David West who also served as a Minister under General Ibrahim Babangida was for several years a lecturer at the University of Ibadan.
A thorough Kalabari breed, he was also Commissioner for Education in the old Rivers State.
