Senator James Manager, the senator representing Delta South Senatorial District, has dared Honourable (Dr.) Cairo Ojougboh to name the senator from the Delta State he alleged collected 300 contracts from National Delta Development Commission (NDDC) and has been paid without executing the said contracts.
Ojogboh had got the country talking last week when he made the allegation but failed to name the senator from Delta State.
Naturally all eyes were directed at Manager who is still basking in the euphoria of his Court of Appeal victory against the former governor of Delta State, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan.
Manager who is one of if not the longest serving senator in Nigeria, is one of the three senators from the state.
In his challenge to Ojougboh, Manager who said he is out of the country on official duty and has been bombarded with telephone callers by his supporters who want to know if he is the senator said in his Facebook timeline, “I am currently out of the country on an official trip. I have been inundated with several communications about what Hon. Dr. Cairo Ojougboh said about NDDC and a Delta Senator on award of contracts. “I have always known Dr Cairo to be a bold, fearless, courageous and tall man. On this matter he appears to be a disastrous disappointment on his failure to name the particular Senator from Delta that is involved. Instead his outburst has given job to pull him down heavy weight politicians and their ever ready hangouts to make stupendous insinuations and innuendos . Dr Cairo, It will do you well to do the needful. Just mention the name in public and submit same to Law Enforcement Agencies.”
