The Katukatus of Solomon Islands were yesterday evening banged 7-0 by Paraguay which is higher than the 5-0 drubbing they got from the Junior Azuris of Italy in their first outing of group F.
The score line renders a mere formality their last group match against Mexico on Sunday. A challenge for Mexico to also beat them with higher gosls than the 7-0.
It was a woeful outing for the Katukatus who were only two goals down at half time and a record performance by Paraguay that has never beaten any team by that kind of a wide margin.
In the group E game, Spain lashed Tajikistan 5-1 to earn 4 points and temporarily head the group. Tajikistan had beaten African champions, Cameroon 1-0 to earn 3 points
Cameroon have a great task to beat Argentina at midnight or bid the competition bye.
In group F, Italy and Mexico are in a show down at midnight. Italy has 3 points from beating the Katukatus 5-0, a present competition record now erased.
