Australia put up a wonderful performance scoring two second half goals to cancel the two goals deficit incurred from Hungary in the group B match played im the wee hours of today making final scores 2-2.
With that performance, Australia will now be desperate for a win or draw against the Golden Eaglets of Nigeria on Friday in the last group match.
Nigeria is on top of the table with full points of six followed by Ecuador with three points while Hungary and Australia has a point each.
Nigeria had beaten Hungary 4-1 and last night banged Ecuador 3-2 while Ecuador thrashed Australia 2-1.
In the other group match, Brazil playing with 10 men in the second half off a red card to Couto in 42′, scored two more late goals Magno 80′ and Rosa 90+1′ to make New Zealand hopeless for a qualification.
Angola coming to the party for the first time got a second win over Canada 2-1 to earn six points with Brazil. Both New Zealand and Canada are pointless.
Brazil has an outstanding match against Angola while Canada will play New Zealand on Friday.
The good news is that though both Brazil and Angola have qualified for the round of 16, anyone wji wins the Canada v New Zealand match may still qualify as best losers.
