The Golden Eaglets of Nigeria’s record of +106 highest goals difference still abound in the world U17 male soccer championships even as only 36 goals making an average of three goals per match were recorded in the 12 matches played so far.
Nigeria currently accounts for four of the 36 goals scored.
Incidentally, New Zealand accounts for the lowest goals difference of -60 in the U17 records.
Brazil with 159 most goals scored has 47 most wins; Argentina has most draws with 13 draws, USA currently smarting from a 1-4 loss to Senegal has most losses of 28 and most goals conceded with 87.
The Golden Eaglets still has the most goals scored in one tournament with her 26 goals scored in 2013.
At the end of the first round of matches in the 2019 tournament in Brazil on Tuesday morning, a handsome 34 yellow cards meaning cautions were issued.
