The Almost over feathered cap of the Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, Senator Uche Ekwunife, added another one on Saturday, October, 5 2919 a traditional ruler of one of Obosi communities in Idemmili North Local Government Area, HRH. Igwe Chidubem Iweka, honoured her with the chieftaincy title of Ochiora Obosi, during the 2019 New Yam festival of the community.

The event, which featured the conferment of Chieftaincy title on the Senator and other well meaning individuals had on full display the rich cultural heritage of the Obosi community.
Receiving the title, Senator Ekwunife appreciated Igwe Iweka and the Obosi community for bestowing on her such revered title. She noted that Obosi is not only a community with rich cultural heritage but one which has produced proud sons and daughters who have established themselves in different fields of endeavors.
Describing Obosi as one of the communities in Anambra Central where she has a huge support base, Senator Ekwunife reiterated her commitment to address the yearnings of the community as it relates to community development and representation.
It will be recalled that Senator Ekwunife had about month ago visited Owelle Aja layout Obosi, an area being ravaged by flood in the community. She equally moved a motion of Urgent National Importance which sought the attention of the federal government on the need to address the environmental challenges faced by Obosi and other neighboring communities.
