New Football Season: Iwobi Moves to Everton

Super Eagles’ forward, Alex Iwobi, has made a last-minute move from Arsenal to Everton ahead of the start of the 2019/2020 English Premier League, which will be broadcast on DStv and GOtv.

The 23-year-old player arrived Everton for a reported £35 million on Friday and signed a five-year contract with the club.

Iwobi moves over to the blue half of Merseyside after having spent 15 years at Arsenal, having joined the North London club at the age of eight.

He played 149 games for the Gunners, scoring 15 goals and getting 23 assists.

The winger will hope to carry his impressive form at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations with Nigeria to his new club for the upcoming season.

The English Premier League kicks off on Friday (today) with last season’s league runners-up and UEFA Champions League champions, Liverpool, hosting newly-promoted Norwich at Anfield.

The game will be broadcast live at 7pm on SS3 to DStv subscribers on Premium, Compacy Plus and Compact.
