The Ogun State Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development has called on Proprietors of Crèches, Day –care centres and pre-school centres within and outside school premises to identify and register with the ministry before September 19, 2019.
A statement signed by the Permanent Secretary in the ministry, Dr. (Mrs.) Oluranti Oladeinde noted that registration which had been ongoing since July, 2017 was in accordance with the Child Right Act of 2003, Section 163 to 173, to enhance international best practices in their operations as well as to ensure the survival, development and protection of lives of children at the centres.
It added that any operator that had not registered should do so before the stipulated period to avoid clampdown of their Centres by the Task Force on Identification and Registration of Crèches and Daycare Centres in the State.
