The Ogun State Head of Service (HoS), Engr Lanre Bisiriyu, stated this during a courtesy visit to his office at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, by the Executives of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), Ogun State Information Chapel, led by its Chairman, Comrade Wole Dosunmu.

Engr. Bisiriyu said the State would look into the dichotomy and come up with the best decision that would be favourable to the affected workforce, adding that even if it would require setting up a committee that would be saddled with the responsibility of using other States which had resolved the issue, as case study.

“Government will look into the HND and BSC dichotomy and come out with the best result for the State workforce, even if it will require us raising up a committee that will travel to States that have resolved the matter’’, he said.

While commending the Chapel’s leadership and members for displaying professionalism in the discharge of duties at their various beats, Engr. Bisiriyu noted that the Chapel had in many ways, made the State proud by making sure that peace reign across the nooks and crannies, promising that government would encourage capacity building of members for optimal performance.

Speaking, the Chairman of NUJ, Information Chapel, Comrade Wole Dosunmu, informed the Head of Service the importance of establishing Information Units in all the Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) in the State, adding that this would further enhanced members’ performance and strengthen the activities of the State government.

Comrade Dosunmu, who had earlier presented documents regarding the White Paper issued by some States on the Dichotomy, said it would be necessary for government to take a critical look into the matter.
