President Mohammadu Buhari may have surprised millions of Nigerians, especially Lagosians, that had expected that the former Governor of the state, Mr, Akinwunmi Ambode, whom many believed was ‘unjustly denied a second term ticket by the All Progressives Congress (APC) elders in the state, as his name is conspicuously missing from the list of names he submitted to the Senate as ministerial nominees.
Also missing is that of the former triple barrel Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Mr. Babatunde Raji Fashola whom Ambode succeeded as Lagos State governor.
Many had tipped one of the two gentlemen to make the cabinet; especially Ambode who they say his denial a second term ticket was an injustice coupled with the rumour then, that Buhari has promised him a federal appointment,

Meanwhile the names contained in the list sent to the Senate are as follows, Festus Keyamo, a senior advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Rauf Aregbesola, former governor of Osun state, and Godswill Akpabio, former governor of Akwa Ibom as ministers.
On the list are Sunday Dare, executive commissioner at the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Sharon Ikeazor, a former lawmaker, Tayo Alasoadura, a former federal lawmaker and Olorunnibe Mamora, former speaker of the Lagos house of assembly.
TheCable had reported that the ministerial list had been sent to senate and is expected to be read out on Tuesday.
So far, Senate President Lawan has reeled out some names on the list which has 42 nominees.
