Osoba left a legacy of service in Ogun – Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari has described Akinrogun Segun Osobas tenure as Ogun state governor as a legacy of service to the people.
In his congratulatory message yesterday to mark the veteran journalists birthday, President Buhari having translated his words into action by leaving journalism for governance,he left a legacy of service having served the state twice in two republics between 1992-1993 and 1999-2003.
He commended Akinrogun who turned 80 today for his unwavering commitment to building strong institutions that will encourage participatory democracy and development in the country.
In the message signed by Femi Adesina, the president special adviser on Media, president Buhari recalled that the many conversations he has with the former including visits to the state house, had always centered on Nigeria and her people ,”with wise and insightful counsels on engendering a better country”.
“As chief Osoba turns an octogenarian, President Buhari believes his lofty contributions with some already brilliantly captured in his memoir will always be remembered”,adding that the real impact of his wealth of experience, selfless spirit and many sacrifices in leadership “will transcend pages and continue to resonate in the many lives he has touched” he declared.
” President Buhari prays that the almighty God will grant the former governor longer life, good health and strength to continue serving the country he loves so much and bless his family”.
