27 ships carrying petrol, other commodities expected at Lagos ports

The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) says 27 ships laden with petroleum products, foods and other goods will berth at Apapa and Tin- Can Island Ports between June 13 and June 29.

The NPA made this known in its daily publication, ‘Shipping Position’, issued in Lagos on Thursday.

It stated that two of the ships would sail in with petrol and a ship would also sail with bulk gas.

NPA noted that the other 24 ships would bring in bulk salt, bulk gypsum, buckwheat, bulk sugar, containers carrying different goods and general cargo.

The publication stated that 10 ships had earlier arrived the ports waiting to discharge frozen fish, diesel, containers and petrol.

NPA indicated that seven other ships are presently discharging bulk gypsum, bulk salt, soya beans, containers and  buckwheat. (NAN)
