Outgone Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun has stripped the state government house bare leaving no furniture for his successor.
All the beds in the house at Oke-Igbehin were removed by the governor while packing out
The settee in the several sitting rooms and lounge were also carted away while a decrepit set was left in the main sitting room.
New Dawn learnt that aides of the new Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun were shocked to the marrows on entering the house which was built by the Governor Olusegun Administration in 2002.
One of them who spoke with New Dawn expressed disgust with the action of Amosun describing it as a “poverty spirit”
He said ” it is really terrible. Why would a Governor, at his level descend so low? I was ashamed when I got there. It must be the spirit of poverty”
Asked what was the state of the Presidential Lodge, he said he was not part of those who went there but that he won’t be surprised if the situation was the same.
