One of the newly installed Obas in Aworiland is allegedly being investigated for the death of one Mr. Kazeem Osho, who was attacked last week by land grabbers and ultimately died of machete wound.
It all started when a case of criminal assault was filed against one Kehinde Durowoju and others who were caught during a large scale assault on villages near Atan Ota by “Omonile” groups. During investigation, Newdawn sources revealed that Durowoju confessed that they were engaged by the newly installed Oba to wreck havock on the people living in and around the villages . Subsequently, they were charged to a magistrate court and were granted bail and warned to maintain peace.

However Newdawn sources revealed that the land grabbers ignored the orders of the court and unleashed terror on the villages and during one of such attacks, Kazeem Osho, a motorcycle mechanic received machete blows on the head and subsequently died after treatments.
The matter has now been transferred from the Magistrate court to High Court as according to the Magistrate, she has no jurisdiction to entertain murder case.
Meanwhile, other victims of the assault are being treated for several wounds from gunshots and machete cuts.
