Chelsea end their Premier League campaign at the weekend on the road against Leicester City. Frankfurt continue their push to finish in the top four of the Bundesliga against Mainz 05 at home on Sunday.
Chelsea will face Arsenal in the final of the Europa League after battling past Eintracht Frankfurt on penalties. Nothing could separate the two sides on the field as Ruben Loftus-Cheek saw his effort cancelled out by Luka Jovic. Neither of the teams was able to make the most of opportunities in extra-time, forcing the shootout. Cesar Azpilicueta was the first to miss for the Blues, but Kepa brought his team back from the brink to deny Martin Hinteregger and Goncalo Paciencia. It allowed Eden Hazard to convert the winning penalty to put Maurizio Sarri’s men on a collision course with their London rivals.
This win means that in both UEFA champions league and Europa league, teams from England all dominate the final for the first time in history of the game.
Chelsea face Arsenal on 29th of May while Tottenham face Liverpool in champions league on 1st of June, 2019.
