Controversial Tanzanian preacher Onesmo Machibya alias Nabii Tito has denied he is mentally unfit, after being declared so in 2018.
Tito, who broke headlines after he shared photos of himself kissing both his wife and house help instead blamed his actions on the devil.
Speaking over the weekend at a church in Dar es Salaam, Tito also admitted to intentionally misleading his congregation.
“I am sane. The devil misused me in misleading many people. I have accepted Jesus Christ and I believe he really does exist.
“I have received the Holy Spirit and currently undergoing counselling. I believe I can serve God as any other preacher,” he said.
Controversial preaching
Tito, once pictured preaching with a Bible on one hand and a bottle of beer in the other is well-known for his controversial preaching.

While justifying the aforementioned photo of him kissing his wife and house help, Tito questioned why Abraham impregnated his house help (Agar) , arguing that a man bedding his house help is not a sin.
“Why did Abraham bed and impregnate his maidservant? Why aren’t men following suit nowadays?” he posed.
Mentally unfit
After his controversial preaching went viral, Tito was deemed mentally unfit by Tanzanian authorities following medical check-up.
Police commander Gilles Muroto, who accused Tito of incitement against religion and misleading his followers with a non-existent doctrine.
