In continuation of the #MPC@20 celebrations, we traveled again to Badagry to honor our promise.
Met Mr.Owolabi Mustafa, who had an accident seven years ago and has been bed ridden ever since
Interesting story he has, may God not let us be victims of the Nigerian system. Amen!
On the way to Badagry, after Agbara, we met a line up of several check points, we got stopped in one of them.
As usual we were asked out of the car, what is in your booth, asked one corporal Suleman owolabi, we answered. ‘it’s a wheel chair.’ His response shocked me. ‘What is a wheelchair’ and we all started laughing, he lost his temper and asked for the vehicle papers which was quickly handed over to him. He asked for the drivers license, he collected all and walked up to the inspector who led the team, knowing them well, I followed him and he as expected started lying that we were laughing at him because he asked for the vehicle papers .
I quickly told him to stop lying and introduced myself to the inspector who immediately apologised after I explained what exactly happened and handed over the papers back to me.
Suppose I didn’t know about the police or have some kind of relationship with them, maybe na so I for enter one chance or God forbid bad thing happen…..all thanks to God.
On this good Friday in 2019, we have kept to our promise for April.
Keep a date with us in May as we celebrate #MPC@20.
