Member of the house of Representatives, Honourable Abdulmumin Jibrin, has said that honorable Femi Gbajabiamila from Lagos State remains the best candidate among the 14 others jostling for the job.
He spoke yesterday on Journalists Hang-Out, a current affairs programme of the Television Continental station.
He said that having been in the house for the past 16 years, honestly Gbajabiamila has the experience and exposure to lead the house adding, “we don’t want to fight again in Nigeria. We want to work for the people”.
Hon Jibrin, who is the chairman of Hon Gbajabiamila campaign committee, said it is not true that the later is arrogant but rather a cool headed member .He does not know how to maneuver and plan intrigues”.
He also debunk claim that the North central is marginalized adding that the zone led the national assembly as senate president for 8 years and produced deputy leader for four years between 1999 and 2003.
Speaking further he said that the party and major opposition are all poisoned to influence their elected members for unanimity of purpose as been done in other civilized democracies adding that as chairman he will reach out to all the 360 members individually between now and June 9th when the house of representatives would electronic its leaders.
