The Spokesman of Senator Ahmad Lawan’s Senate Presidency, Abdullahi Sabi has countered Senator Mohammed Ndume claims on nomination of Senate leader by the party as Senate President saying there was spontaneous applause at the meeting for Lawan’s imposition.
Ndume had claimed that Senators-elect were shocked when Oshiomole announced nomination of Lawan as preferred candidate of the party.

Addressing newsmen, Sabi said no senator-elect was shocked about the nomination, but gave spontaneous applause by the Senator-elect.
