The support group for the governor of Osun State Mr. Adegboyega Isiaka Oyetola in the last Governorship election has told the people to remain calm and wait for the eventual appeal.
The Oyetola’s Friends Support Group (OFSG) led by Mr. Emmanuel Ibunkun Efuntayo, Mr. Joseph Daramola, Arch. Ola jones and Hon. Bashorun Bambo in a press statement in osogbo urge the people of Osun State to be calm and not to be depressed with the judgement of the tribunal.
The group urged the people to go about there normal business adding that there was no cause for alarm as Mr.Adegboyega Isiaka Oyetola remained the governor of the state. The leader of the group Mr. Emmanuel Ibunkun Efuntayo described the verdict as a lampoon and perfidy of the amendment of section 140(2) of the Electoral Act adding that an election tribunal or court nullifiing an election on the ground that the person who obtained the highest votes at the election was not qualified to contest the election, or that the election was marred by substantial irregularities or non- compliance with the second highest votes or any other person as elected, but shall order for fresh election.
He enjoins the good people of the State of Osun to continue their unrelenting support for the governor Adegboyega Isiaka Oyetola and not be depressed with the jiggery-pokery Judgement of the tribunal. He said.
