Taiwo Ogunjobi’s rite of passage

Chief Taiwo Joseph Ogunjobi was an accomplished footballer and Administrator who devoted his years in the service of the Lord Jesus.

Charismatic Pastor of the Livingspring Chapel, Femi Emmanuel told the congregation at the funeral service that many rose to life through the late Secretary of the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) who was also instrumental to the establishment of their branch in London.

Encomiums fllowed at the service of songs on Thursday, one of which was former Super Eagles Coach, Samson Siasia narrating how Ogunjobi gave him his first coaching job.
NFF President, Amaju Pinnick led the football confraternity of Amos Adamu, Sani Lulu, Prof. Steve Olarimoye and former NFF Sec, Fanny Amun to the burial service.

Lying in a coffee brown coffin with the Nigerian flag covering it saw some of his old playing mate including Dr. Felix Owolabi, Patrick Olusegun Odegbami who just lost a shot at the Ogun Guber contest, Nath Adewole, Zion Ogunfehinmi, Kehinde Jeyifous and Ike Sorunmu.

The Sports media team included Ayo Ademokoya, Kunle Solaja, Mumuni Alao, Godwin Enakhena, Feyi Ogunduyile and Tribune Sports Editor, Wale Adewale Emosu.
Ace Muscian, Yinka Ayefele thrilled the mammoth crowd at the Daplan Event Centre.

Ogunjobi until his death was the Chairman of the Osun State Football Association. He is survived by his wife, children and grandchildren.
