Tragedy struck Wednesday in Lagos when a building housing a school collapsed at Ita Faji on Lagos Island.
The incident which occurred at about 10am happened when pupils were said to have been in their classes and some were trapped.
According to eye witness, parents and sympathizers were seen in panic mode rushing to see how they could salvage the situation already out of hand.
There has been no explanation about possible cause of the collapse.
Another eye witness confirmed that some pupils have been rushed to the General hospital in Marina.
Meanwhile, unconfirmed report said over 100 students are currently still being trapped as efforts are being made to dig through the rubbles.
Spokesman of the Lagos State Emergency Management Authority, Mr. Kehinde Adebayo confirmed the building collapse but did not release casualty figure.
