In continuation of the season of congratulatory messages to winners at the just concluded general elections in the country, the candidate of Action for Democracy, (AD), for Ogun State governor, Oluseyi Gavriel Olufade-Olowookere, has sent a congratulatory message to the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Prince Dapo Abiodun, the winner of the keenly contested governorship post in the state.
In the release he personal signed, Olufade-Olowookere said, “when a general goes to battle and return with his men intact, it is worthy of special thanksgiving to God…., the thank you and congratulatory letter read.

THANK YOU AND CONGRATULATIONS.
When a general goes to battle and returns intact with all his men, it is worthy of special thanksgiving to God. I thank God almighty for the strength, courage, grace and fortitude to go through with the keenly contested gubernatorial election in our dear Ogun State; and, for the protection and preservation of all candidates, party members and supporters.
The election has come and gone, and Ogun State won. I congratulate the governor elect Prince Dapo Abiodun of the APC who will become the next governor of Ogun State. It is my sincere hope that your Excellency will be magnanimous in victory and hit the ground running speedily for the work of good governance. I am consoled by the fact that the APC team understands and appreciates the magnitude of work to be done. There is poverty and indeed hopelessness in our land, and my prayer is GOD will help you change the tide for good.
I also congratulate my fellow contestants, starting with the leading candidates my egbon Tripple A of APM, and my bigger brother GNI of ADC; you both have fought a good fight. The people have spoken through the ballot. Let us accept the results and focus on supporting the new government or providing a credible, issues-based opposition that will ensure a balanced governance. Congratulations to all candidates that contested; we have shown that indeed, Ogun State has the best of the best.
The election was fraught with regional sentiments that became louder days to the election as evidenced by the various alliances that ensued. It is hoped that the narrative of the near future will be that of merit, capacity to deliver and not a geopolitical conversation which limits options of the people.
Thank you to the good people of Ogun State, thank you to our supporters, congratulations for a successful election. I personally thank everyone for at least giving me a chance in the space. A governor has been elected and he will be sworn in to govern us all; our hands must be on deck for the good of the people. God bless Ogun State, God bless Nigeria.
