With  the commencement of the governorship election across 29 states in Nigeria, Newdawnngr in its usual character will give you bit-by-bit updates of events during and after the election.

Voters turnout in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital was quite large.
They started trooping out as early as 8am.
Surprisingly, the card readers which performed badly during the Presidential and National Assembly elections was very effective.
Level of security was also high as there were various patrols by soldiers, policemen and men of the civil defence.

At ogba area where INEC staff refused to show up for non payment of their allowance during presidential and NASS elections

Jimi Agbaje of PDP has voted. Ask people to come out and cast their votes, he also complain of voters apathy and non functioning of smart card readers.

INEC on strike in Opebi area of Ikeja because allowance have not been paid. Please help us plead to INEC to pay this kids so voting can start.

No INEC materials or officials too at Kosefe, no voting up till now.

Nasir El Rufai has also casted his vote in Kaduna.

Oluremi Tinubu also voted.

Babajide Sanwo-Olu  voted at Ikoyi, said we  cannot begin to judge and generally people are coming out to vote.

Large voter turn out in Ondo state and voting started very early.
