Reasons have emerged why the reconciliatory tone for tomorrow’s senatorial election in Ogun Central Senatorial District where the ruling APC have vowed to ensure the total defeat of Governor Ibikunle Amosun as a punishment for his alleged anti-party activities and total neglect of border towns like Lambe, Agbara, Mowe, and others.

Sources revealed to Newdawn that Amosun was able to get the paramount ruler of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo who led a delegation of notable Egba monarchs to prevail on Chief Segun Osoba, a two time governor of the state, to appeal to APC supporters from Ogun Central to switch their unflinching support for Honorable Titi Oseni of the ADC in protest vote against Amosun in in tomorrow’s election.

The Monarchs led by Alake were said to have noted the promise of Amosun to develop Egbaland when former Governor Gbenga Daniel vowed to remove the monarch as a result of the state capital’s bad roads.

The move pitched Amosun against Daniel and the intervention of former President Olusegun Obasanjo paved the way for the emergence of Amosun as the then flag bearer of the Action Congress of Nigeria(ACN), with Osoba”s support.

The development of Abeokuta, the state capital, which today has the best infrastructural deployment in the state, was as a fulfilment of Amosun’s promise and as such considered for the Ogun Central Senatorial seat, which forced Chief Osoba, to issue the statement backed by Oba Femi Ogunleye, the Towulade of Akinale town, one of the many kingdoms in Ogun Central backing Amosun.

However, what happens this evening and tomorrow morning in Ogun Central Senatorial District, especially in Ifo Local Government Area where he had a lot of abandoned projects and which has the largest concentration of voters and which is where honourable Taiwo hails from, remains to be seen.
