The Ogun State Governorship candidate of the Alliance for Democracy (AD), Mr. Oluseyi Gavriel Olufade has denied withdrawing from the forthcoming elections.
Olufade said contrary to the rumors being peddled by those he described as detractors that he has withdrawn, he was in the race to win and become Governor of the state.
Speaking to New Dawn, the AD candidate said “I am in the race to win and have been campaigning and selling my ideas to the people directly.
“Those peddling the rumors are detractors who are afraid of our rising profile and their intention is to demarket us
“The people have however seen through them. We are still in the race and we are in it to win. God is on our side and the result of the elections will shock people.”
Our correspondent recalled that the youthful AD candidate has been holding meetings and consultations with various stakeholders among which are members of Christian Association of Nigeria(CAN), market women, youths and the labour union all over the state with a view to sensitize them on his programmes and manifestoes ahead of the march 2nd, 2019 governorship election in the state.
