The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have cleared the Chairman of the Code of Conduct Tribunal Justice Umar of any complicity in the alleged N10 bribe against him since 2016.
The Commission in a letter to the Secretary to the Federal Government titled “Re investigative report. Re: N10 million bribery allegation against the Chairman Code of Conduct Tribunal, Abuja” obtained by New Dawn said the allegations were mere suspicions.
Signed by the Secretary to the Commission, Emmanuel Adegboyega Aremo the letter said that the allegations being merely suspicions were insufficient to prosecute Justice Umar.
The letter which was also copied the Chairman of the Code of Conduct Tribunal was dated 20th April 2016.
