Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Dr. Idiat Adebule, Friday visited members of the Lagos House of Assembly over the current impasse between the Lagos Executive and the Legislative arms of government, a report has revealed.

Meanwhile, reason for the visit was not disclosed but there are feelers that it may not be unconnected with the recent impeachment threats against Governor Akinwunmi Ambode.

It was also gathered that the Legislatures did not want to attend to Adebule but for some interventions.

The lawmakers had demanded to see Mr. Ambode in person and not by proxy.

The meeting however held behind clossed doors and was attended by the Legislatures including the Speaker.

A group on Wednesday had staged a peaceful demonstration at the Lagos House of Assembly Complex urging the Lawmakers to allow Ambode finish his tenure or else, APC would lose the governorship election in March.

The Lawmakers threatened to impeach Ambode if he gives no explanation for alleged financial misappropriation within seven days.

According to 36 out of 40 Legislatures present at a plenary session on Monday, it was unanimously agreed that the Governor’s action of spending without recourse to the House and other sundry allegations, violated the 1999 Constitution.
